Dolls and dinner guests

I’ve been sewing and stuffing doll bodies…I have so much sewing to catch up on! It’s been cold, and so I’ve been warming my fingers (and toes) by my space heater. I love that thing. Nice concentrated heat. My fingers are always getting cold. I also had IFC on so I could watch movies while I worked. It’s a pretty good deal. I caught Man of the Century and re-watched Moulin Rouge! this afternoon.

I’m still not sure why I’m sitting in the cheap seats here, while the furry girl gets the more comfortable chair. Even if I grab the chair, she steals it when I get up for a break.

We had a big handsome guest for breakfast this morning. I saw him sleeping out in the frosty leaves last week, with a hurt leg. I brought him some food, and I think he’s catching on to this whole idea. His leg seems to be getting better. It looks like there’s a bite, with some swelling still. I hadn’t seen him for a while, and was worried. He, or she, actually I don’t know, is a substantial kitty. This is a settee, not a chair, he’s resting on here, just for comparison.

My little man took it all in stride. He came out, chirped hello, sniffed noses, and then proceeded to enjoy his sunbath. Okay, he ran under a chair a couple of times, but I didn’t want to say that and embarrass him. All in all, he was a complete gentleman to our guest.

We got some more Kona cottons in the mail. I’m loving these colors. I ordered a color swatch chart too, but it’s backordered. I think I’ve mentioned a couple of times my love of things that come in a rainbow of assorted colors. That just makes me happy. I’ve already prewashed and ironed these. Now I need another box to store my fabric in, and I’ve got to get moving on some doll dresses!
